Hi! As you can see above, my name is Kelley, though its spelled a bit differently than most Kellys would spell their name. Kelley was how my mothers last name was spelled before she was married, so that was how it went. The middle initial stands for Elizabeth, which just went well with the name. Some people call me Keely, some people call me Kell, Butterfly, or D.D. I generally only respond to the first three names.
I'm currently a sophomore at the University of Rhode Island, working as a Resident Adviser in Browning Hall. I'm slightly out of place, in a the dorm of College of Environmental and Life Sciences, with a current double major in Communications and "wanting" Public Relations. Whether I will stay on that course of study is yet to be decided. I have a love-hate relationship with writing, and reading likewise. I love all sorts of literature, especially Japanese literature and the classics--like Cat's Cradle, Emma, Pride and Prejudice, and Kafka on the Shore. I have a habit of going off into tangents and having a slightly sarcastic/dark tone to some of my writing, so bear with me.
Hmmmm what else? I have a younger brother named Sterl who's roughly two years my junior. I also have two puppies named Rascal and Jasmine, who I call Rascie or Rassafrass and Jasmena/Menas respectively. I went to Chariho High school, which is a somewhat inconspicuous high school in southern Rhode Island sandwiched between sparse forest and rolling turf fields. Just about as country as you get in New England, but I don't have no southern drawl.
I'm hoping to figure some things out and decide wear I am going this year, so hopefully something will propel me in the right direction.
